Our investment banking team focuses predominantly on large-cap transactions within the infrastructure space, but our work also extends to other sectors such as healthcare, technology, mobility and financial services. Our clients include the majority of the globally largest infrastructure fund managers, but also Northern European industrial companies and the public sector.

We are now looking for full-time Analysts to join our investment banking team with a flexible starting date.

Our recent projects include:

• Exclusive financial advisor to the seller in the divestment of a c. 20% ownership interest in the Finnish national transmission system operator, Fingrid

• Exclusive financial advisor to the City of Pori in the minority sale of Pori Energia (905 €m)

• Sole buyside financial advisor to Fortum in the acquisition of Orange's Polish electricity retail business

As an Analyst at VALOR, you will be a core member of project teams working closely with senior colleagues and clients. Your responsibilities will typically include:

• Quantitative and qualitative analyses to support strategic and transaction-related decision-making

• Financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis

• Market, commercial and business analysis

• Preparation of high-quality client-ready materials and presentations

• Active participation in client discussions and day-to-day project execution

• Supporting interns and contributing to a culture of uncompromising quality

You will be given responsibility early on and trusted as an integral part of the team, while being supported by experienced colleagues who are committed to your professional development.

An ideal candidate for the role is a master's level graduate in a subject such as finance, industrial engineering, or economics with a strong academic background combined with accrued professional experience (typically 1-2 years for Analysts) in areas such as M&A advisory, corporate- or leveraged finance, or private equity. As a person, you have excellent analytical and social skills, and a good command of both English and Finnish. Above all, we look for motivation and drive for professional development.
