Strategy and M&A Analyst Trainee

Applications are now open for our 2027 Strategy and M&A Analyst Internship at Vaisala. 

Join Vaisala’s Group Strategy and M&A team, where you’ll work with a driven group of professionals on some of Vaisala’s most important and challenging strategic questions. In this role, you will support our Leadership Team and Executive Board with high-quality analyses and insights, contribute to key strategic projects, and work closely with business leaders across the company. The internship is a full-time position lasting 3–6 months, with a flexible start date during 2027.

As an Intern, you will be a full member of the Group Strategy team and gain a unique vantage point into a wide range of topics across corporate strategy, business area strategies in our Weather and Industrial Measurements businesses, as well as M&A related projects. You will contribute to strategic projects by conducting analyses, preparing presentations, sharing insights, and engaging with key stakeholders across the organization. 

You will have the opportunity to:

What will you bring? 

• Ongoing university studies in a relevant field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Finance, or similar) 

• Typically in your 4th year of studies or beyond, with strong academic performance 

• Some prior experience from similar work environments (e.g., management consulting, private equity, investment banking, or corporate strategy) 

• Solid problem-solving and presentation skills, with strong command of PowerPoint and Excel 

• Ability to work independently with a proactive attitude, as well as collaboratively as part of a team 

• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
