Strategy Consultant Trainee

We are looking for Strategy Consultant Trainees to join KPMG Strategy

If you are passionate about solving some of the toughest real‑world challenges faced by various businesses and governments, and developing your problem‑solving skills as well as your industry and functional expertise, Strategy Consultant Trainee role will be a great match for you. It also offers the opportunity to leverage data and analytics tools while building a strong career in strategy consulting.

We offer temporary 3-5 months full-time paid positions based in our central office in Helsinki. The trainee periods start either in September 2026 (until December 2026) or in February 2027 (flexible until April-June 2027).

As a Strategy Consultant Trainee you will

• Be part of a dynamic Deal Advisory and Strategy function that revolves around deal making, strategy and value creation.

• Participate in our projects as part of our expert team from day one, and work in close collaboration with experienced colleagues at multiple industries. You may for example work on a due diligence (commercial or operational) project as a part of M&A process, take part into creation of new growth strategy for our client or participate in operational strategy project related to market expansion for example to support in plant reallocations.

• Have an opportunity to interact with C-level clients and global experts, as you will help assist our clients to solve critical, yet challenging problems.

• Research, collect, and analyze information from databases and expert networks for conducting industry, company, and competitor analysis (e.g., financial, operational, commercial).

• Support and develop financial analysis and modelling using our advanced analytical tools.

• Storyboard, visualize, and draft presentation materials, as well as prepare and present findings to clients.

Do you have?

• At least two years of university studies from a relevant field, such as business or industrial engineering and management, with approximately three years of completed studies by the start date

• Analytical, quantitative, and qualitative problem-solving skills with a commitment learning new things.

• Organized and proactive approach, with ability to work efficiency and quality with multiple assignments.

• Ability to communicate complex ideas promptly, both written and verbally in English. Finnish and Swedish fluency is an advantage.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Relevant work experience, and a background in goal‑oriented activities are seen as an advantage
