The role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Investment Banking Intern for a 4-6 month full-time internship in Helsinki during fall 2026. The exact period for the internship can be flexibly determined, but the preferred starting date is August or September 2026. As an Intern at Carner, you will become a valued team member and gain hands-on experience including, for example:

➢ Exposure to several international M&A transactions in a wide range of industries, serving clients both in sell-side and buy-side mandates

➢ Analyzing and evaluating companies from an M&A perspective (e.g., screening, market research, financial modeling)

➢ Preparation of process-related materials such as sales pitches, teasers and information memorandums

We are looking for an ambitious team player with strong analytical and interpersonal skills supported by a strong academic track record. Candidates should have completed at least two years of studies in Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering or other relevant field. Fluency in Finnish and English is necessary and previous work or internship experience in M&A advisory, private equity, management consulting or business development is considered an advantage.
