Management Associate / Trainee
We are looking for a Management Associate / Trainee to support Boreo Plc, the Nasdaq Helsinki-listed company in financial analysis, reporting, M&A processes, and strategic development initiatives across the Group. This is a unique opportunity for a high-potential early-career professional to join the team in a 2-year management trainee program as an Associate, with strong exposure across finance, strategy, and business development. The role is designed for a future leader with a strong academic background in finance and experience from, for example, management consulting, investment banking, or private equity, who is looking to broaden their skillset in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment. During this 2-year period, the Associate will be provided with a comprehensive onboarding program and training at Boreo's headquarters, located in Vantaa. We operate in a hybrid working model, with the primary work location at the office.
Key Responsibilities
You will work closely with Group leadership and operating companies across a wide range of topics, including: Supporting financial reporting and consolidation (monthly, quarterly, annual)
Participating in financial analysis and performance tracking across portfolio companies
Supporting M&A processes, including:
target screening
financial analysis
due diligence support
on-boarding support
Working on strategic and operational projects across the Group
Developing tools to support decision-making and capital allocation
Participation in the use and maintenance of the financial planning and reporting system (Clausion FPM)
Sustainability- and remuneration-related data consolidation and analysis
Participation in AI initiative development
Producing various strategic perspectives and ad hoc analyses for the Group management
Requirements
In order to excel in this position, you should have:
Master’s degree in Economics (preferably Finance), with excellent grades
Some experience (as an employee or trainee) from:
management consulting
investment banking
private equity
or similar high-performance environments
Strong financial and analytical skills
Ability to structure problems and communicate clearly
High level of ownership and ability to work independently
Fast learner with strong curiosity and drive
Fluency in Finnish and English
